Dear parents/guardians,
All work for our literacy class will be located online or will be available in a packet during our school closure. So your child can completely do the literacy work online or they can completely do the literacy work through a packet. If you decide that you would like a literacy packet, they will be available to pick up at the school. I know that online literacy classes will be a new and challenging experience for your young children. Please know that I am here to help in any way I can. If something isn't working correctly, if they have questions, or are struggling with anything, please let me know. I am more than happy to work with you to try to figure everything out or answer any questions. Also, please let your children know that I will greatly miss their bright, smiling faces over the next few weeks. I am sad that I won't be able to see them each day, but I know that our community's health is the top priority.
Thank you very much for all of your support.

Optional, but recommended, writing ideas:
Although writing is not required, it would be a great idea for students to practice once or twice during the week. Students can use any piece of paper to write their own story or use one of writing prompts below to get an idea of what to write.
